As this is my first post - I'll give a little background.
Ever since I took part in Camp America back in 1998, I always wanted to come and live in the USA. I don't really know why - but I know the weather was one of the reasons. British Weather sucks. Even up north in Pennsylvania, where I was at the time, the weather was great compared to the cold, drizzly, dark days of the British summer.
Anyway - 9 years later I had the opportunity to transfer to my company's Atlanta office - so I jumped at the chance. It all happened so fast, and before I knew it - I had one one-way ticket and was heading off to Gatwick Airport.
I've now been here in Atlanta since September last year and on the whole, its been a very positive experience. So much so that the application for my greencard has begun and if everything goes to plan I wont have to go back to the UK. Don't get me wrong... I think England is great, but I just don't want to live there!
